The QRF is a quick release buckle for joining two straps 50 mm (2 in) wide. The halves connect by simple hooking, and release only when both levers are lifted at the same time, one on each side of the body. Lift one by mistake and the buckle stays connected: the spring returns the lever the moment force comes off it.
The levers sit on the sides of the buckle, where they are easy to find and lift with gloves or cold hands, and where other equipment is unlikely to catch them. Every edge is rounded and polished, so the buckle does not chew through the webbing.
Stainless steel throughout. The active half is riveted and cannot be taken apart.
Build time: Due to high demand, Divesoft build time is estimated at 10 working days.
How it mounts
- Active part: threaded through the strap and sewn in place, or fixed with a lock for a double strap.
- Passive part: threaded on, so strap length stays adjustable.
Component parts sold separately
- QRF Buckle, Active Part, the lever half
- QRF Buckle, Passive Part, sewn to the strap

Safety
The QRF buckle is designed for securing the straps of breathing apparatus. It is not rated for climbing, parachuting or any application where failure would put life at risk, and its construction is not suited to the static and dynamic loads those activities impose.
