Dealer Levels

What each level requires · v1.12

There are three dealer levels. Each one asks for a little more of you, and each one earns a better rate. This sets out what each level requires, so you can see which one fits your business before we talk.

Every dealer starts at Authorized. Approval of an application opens the account; it is the first order that opens the relationship. You can start higher by placing a qualifying opening order and meeting that level's conditions from day one. There is no probationary rate and no waiting period.
Level oneAuthorized

An account rather than a stocking commitment. A genuine business that buys when it needs to.

Requires

  • A genuine business, verified from your Business Information Sheet
  • A first order placed and paid
  • At least one order every twelve months to stay active
No web requirements. No stock and no display either. That is the whole bar.
Level twoStocking

For a dealer who carries and shows the lines, not just orders them.

Everything Authorized requires, plus

  • Holds enough of the lines it represents to meet customer demand
  • Where it has a website, gives each line its own category online, with current photography and copy
  • Maintains the Stocking purchase volume
A website is optional. You can be a Stocking dealer without one. If you have one, we ask that the lines you carry appear on it.
Level threeMaster

For a dealer who carries the range, shows it online, and keeps a working unit a customer can handle.

Everything Stocking requires, plus

  • Has a website, with the lines it carries shown on it
  • Lists at least six products per line, each with a price and a way to order
  • Keeps one working unit per line on display, where it has a retail location
  • Maintains the Master purchase volume
A website is required. That is the step up from Stocking. How you take the order is still your choice.
Stocking and Master: the website

Master asks for a website on which the lines you carry are shown, with at least six products per line listed and purchasable. Not just a page of brand logos.

This is the main difference between the two upper levels. At Stocking a website is optional, and if you have one we ask that each line you carry has its own category on it. At Master a website is required, and the products have to be listed and purchasable.

This is not a request for an ecommerce build. Those six products can sit on individual product pages, or together on one page for the line. What matters is what a customer can see and do when they get there.

What listed and purchasable means

A customer arriving on your product page from a search can do three things without leaving that page: see what the product is, see what it costs, and start an order.

  • How the order is taken is your choice. A cart and checkout, a quote form, an email link or a phone number all satisfy it. We are not asking you to build an ecommerce site.
  • What does not satisfy it. A brand logo, a category banner, a line on a general list, a PDF, or a page with no way to act.

Why this condition exists

A customer who cannot find a product does not buy it. Buying starts with a search, and a search can only return pages that exist. When a Master dealer lists the products it carries, three things happen at once: the product becomes findable in Canada, the dealer becomes findable alongside it, and the line gets shelf space where customers are actually looking.

That is the whole reason for the condition. It is not paperwork and it is not a test we set to catch anyone out. It is the difference between a customer finding you and a customer finding somebody else.

Showing the price works the same way. Google will index a page that says to contact you for pricing, but it presents that result thinner. With the price on the page, your listing can carry price and availability into the search result itself. That traffic is yours, not ours.

Individual product pages are recommended, not required. A single page listing six analyzers can be found by a customer searching for analyzers. A page for one analyzer can also be found by a customer searching for that analyzer by name, and that is the search closest to a purchase. If your platform makes individual pages straightforward, they are worth building. If it does not, one page for the line meets the standard.

If your site is not there yet, that is what Authorized and Stocking are for. Start where you fit today and move up as the site develops.

Worth knowing

  • What a line means. A line is a product line named in the Dealer Terms, not a brand and not a category. There are three: Divesoft, HYDPRO air management, and HYDPRO hoses. The conditions above apply per line you carry, so a dealer who carries one line lists six products from it and puts one unit on display. Nardi Compressori is a Specialized Brand with its own terms and sits outside these conditions.
  • Purchase volumes apply to Stocking and Master. Each level above Authorized carries a purchase volume over the trailing twelve months, measured across all Core product lines combined. It is a rolling window, not a calendar year. The figures, and the opening-order values that let you start higher, are set out in the Dealer Terms.
  • You move up straight away, and down only at review. The moment your trailing twelve-month purchases cross a threshold and you meet that level's conditions, you move up, effective on your next order. A shortfall does not cost you the rate mid-year; volume is reassessed once a year, on the anniversary of your appointment.
  • Physical display applies only where you operate a retail location. If you do not run one, that condition does not apply to you.
  • Specialized Brands sit outside the Master range condition. Holding a unit on the premises is what earns a Specialized Brand's rate, and it is neither required for Master nor a substitute for it.
  • Discount rates are not shown here. The rate attached to each level is set out in the TFS Dealer Terms, which we provide on approval of your application.
